ARTIST OVERVIEW:
StoryBots has made learning fun for millions of kids around the world with its collection of short-form books, songs and videos – which have racked up more than a half billion online views – and its hit Netflix original series, the Emmy Award-winning Ask the StoryBots and StoryBots Super Songs, and the recent holiday special A StoryBots Christmas.
Originally launched in 2012, StoryBots was the brainchild of the brothers behind JibJab and centers on a cast of curious and colorful little creatures who live in the world beneath our screens and help answer kids’ biggest questions. More than 1.5 million families have created StoryBots accounts, and its mobile apps for iPad, iPhone and Apple TV have been downloaded more than 5 million times.
Known best for its catchy and hilarious music videos exploring topics such as numbers, shapes, emotions, dinosaurs and outer space, StoryBots made its TV debut in fall 2016 with the Netflix original series Ask the StoryBots and StoryBots Super Songs. Starring the voice of Judy Greer, Ask the StoryBots features guest appearances from Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, Kevin Smith and more. The show was a runaway hit, named one of Netflix’s most “binged” children’s series, while winning the Daytime Emmy Award and being just one of two kids’ shows nominated for a Peabody Award. Most recently, Netflix premiered a holiday special, A StoryBots Christmas, featuring the legendary Ed Asner as Santa Claus.
Beyond its website and mobile apps, StoryBots content is also seen on YouTube, Sprout, PlayKids, Azoomee, ToonGoggles, Hopster, Curious World, Fun Brain, Roku TV and on American Airlines flights. StoryBots has released its first collection of print books with Random House, with titles available online as well as in-store in Target and at the Scholastic Book Fair.
